Best tekken 8 player12/13/2023 ![]() ![]() Tekken has never really been a stranger to single-player content since the release of Tekken 5, but Tekken 7’s Story mode wasn’t exactly perfect. As someone who’s advocated for single-player modes in fighting games in the past, seeing a decent focus being put on single-player content is nice. These days, you can’t make a high budget fighting game without including some kind of involved Story Mode, which isn’t something I’m going to complain about. Make The Story Mode More Killer, Less Filler Tekken 7 We’re not asking, because you know how Harada gets about people asking, but it’d be nice to see them either way.ġ. With that in mind, we’ve come up with a few things we’d like to see from the upcoming Tekken project. It’s safe to say that a new Tekken game is coming, and given how the teaser only featured one character in the form of Kazuya instead of several, we’re willing to bet that the new Tekken project will be Tekken 8 instead of Tekken Tag Tournament 3, for instance. The image then suddenly changes to a modern looking Kazuya, with the announcer simply stating two words: Get Ready. However, the small sizzle trailer finished with a tease for the next Tekken project, showing the iconic (see: legendary meme) moment of Kazuya throwing Heihachi off a cliff at the end of Tekken 1. ![]() However, the most intriguing announcement came from the Tekken camp.Īt the conclusion of the Tekken 7 Top 8 Finals, Bandai Namco announced a free update for the game, along with a new season of Tekken World Tour, culminating with the grand finals in Amsterdam in February 2023. Dragon Ball FighterZ fans were also blessed with the news of rollback netcode, after years of begging for it from Bandai Namco and Arc System Works. SNK fans were eating good after EVO 2022, with a new Garou/Fatal Fury confirmed after 20 years, along with a healthy supply of KOF XV DLC news. There's also the potential for Riot's Project L to come out this year, though that will likely be pushed back to 2024.One of the main highlights of EVO every year is seeing the fighting game developers show up in force to reveal what they’re working on. If that turns out to be the case, this could be one of the best years in the history of fighting games with Mortal Kombat 1 set to drop in September and Street Fighter 6 coming out earlier this year. The game was announced during a State of Play stream in September of last year, and with the CNT hitting this summer, we might see a launch this fall. Unfortunately, even though the Closed Network Test has been released, we still don't know exactly when Tekken 8 will launch. Here is the full list of characters in the leak with a note for characters that are officially confirmed: However, there are six new characters in this leak, though many assume this is just the beginning of Tekken 8's roster as long-time mainstays like Kuma have yet to pop up. Of course, several of the characters on the list were previously officially confirmed, as Bandai Namco has already given fans the lowdown on 16 members of the roster. The list was first spotted by VGC, who found it popping up on various Tekken community Discords. Using Cheat Engine, they were able to datamine what appears to be a partial list of characters, as a few mainstays aren't currently included. ![]() However, with the code now in players' hands, a few of them decided to dig into it and see if they could find a full character roster. Tekken 8 kicked off its Closed Network Test about a week ago, giving players lucky enough to be selected the chance to try the game out early and let developer Bandai Namco test its servers ahead of the full release. ![]()
